There’s one thing K-pop fans visiting Seoul always put on their shopping list, and it isn’t an album or official merch. It’s “the cosmetics my bias advertises.” The catch: brand ambassadors change more often than you’d think, and members of the same group often represent completely different brands. So we mapped out 18 idol and ex-idol ambassador deals confirmed by official announcements and press reports as of early October 2026. Who’s holding which product, for which company’s brand, and where in Seoul you can pick it up today.

The short answer

  • BTS: Jin is LANEIGE (Amorepacific), V is TIRTIR. IVE splits by member: Jang Wonyoung (AMUSE, medicube AGE-R), Rei (LUNA, AGE 20's) and Leeseo (the SAEM, LIZDA).
  • New faces for 2026 include ILLIT's Wonhee (rom&nd), RIIZE's Shotaro and Wonbin (EITHER&), TXT's Taehyun (CENTELLIAN24) and NMIXX's Jiwoo (IRECIPE).
  • You can buy most of them at Olive Young, while brand flagships in Myeongdong and Seongsu win on merch and experiences. Ambassador deals can change, so check the announcement dates in the table.

Which K-pop idols are K-beauty brand ambassadors in 2026?

The table below is your answer. It’s sorted by most recent announcement, and for pairings announced in 2024–2025 that are confirmed to still be running campaigns in 2026 (Jin × LANEIGE, Felix × HERA, Jang Wonyoung × medicube and others), the evidence is noted too. Contract lengths are usually not disclosed, so just keep in mind: the older the announcement, the more likely the billboard in the store has already changed.

First, the four pairings fans search for most.

Two things are worth reading alongside the table. The first is the parent company. Jin (LANEIGE), Felix (HERA) and YoonA (Sulwhasoo) all front brands owned by one company, Amorepacific, and Rei’s LUNA and AGE 20’s both belong to Aekyung Industrial. Big groups assign a different idol to each brand to reach separate overseas fan bases. The second is the manufacturer. Many K-beauty brands outsource production to ODM companies such as COSMAX and Kolmar Korea. We break that down in Who Makes K-Beauty: COSMAX and Kolmar.

For the record, HYBE girl group KATSEYE also became LANEIGE’s “Global Partner” in January 2026, but their collaboration product, the Juicy Pop Box Lip Tint, launched mainly through Sephora and Amazon in the US, so we left it out of the table. To see which groups are hottest right now, pair this with The Most Popular K-pop Girl Groups and Boy Groups in Korea (2026) and the bigger picture comes into focus.

Why do K-beauty brands use so many K-pop idols?

In short: K-beauty’s money now comes from overseas, and idols are the fastest way to reach overseas shoppers. According to provisional figures from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Korea’s cosmetics exports hit a record US$11.4 billion in 2025, and for the first time the US (US$2.2 billion) overtook China (US$2.0 billion) as the No. 1 export market. It’s the same story in stores at home. CJ Olive Young officially announced that foreign customers made up 33% of its domestic offline sales from January to August 2026. In 2022, that figure was 2%.

11.4bn USD

33%
Foreign customers' share of Olive Young offline sales, Jan–Aug 2026 (2% in 2022)
89%
Overseas share of APR's Q1 2026 revenue (as reported by Digital Daily)

APR, which works with Jang Wonyoung, is the textbook case. According to Digital Daily, of its ₩593.4 billion in Q1 2026 revenue, ₩528.1 billion came from overseas, or 89%, and US sales alone were ₩248.5 billion. Seoul Economic Daily also reported that Amorepacific has set a goal of raising its overseas share of sales to 70% by 2035. When overseas sales carry that much weight, the bar for an ambassador shifts from “a face the Korean public knows” to “a face overseas fans search for and buy after.”

Korea Economic Daily (August 2025): LANEIGE's sales rose more than 30% in Q4 2024, the quarter it brought on BTS's Jin, and it climbed to No. 3 among skincare brands at Sephora. The same article noted that putting male idols in charge of cosmetics aimed at women had become "K-beauty's new marketing formula."

The rise of male idols is part of the same trend. Since 2025, there’s been a noticeable jump in boy group members with large female fan bases, like Jin, V, Felix, Taehyun and RIIZE, fronting cushions, lip products and other items aimed mainly at women. In TIRTIR’s case, Star News reported that V’s first teaser hit 120 million views in just six days. Fandoms consume ads as “content,” and that attention turns straight into overseas direct purchases and shopping trips to Korea. In Korea there’s even a word for these fan buys: choeae-tem (최애템, “the thing my bias uses”).

Comparison: How are global luxury beauty ambassadors different?

Global luxury beauty houses like Chanel, Dior and Estée Lauder also sign K-pop stars, but they're a different game from the K-beauty this article covers, in both where you buy and what you pay. They mostly sell at department store and duty-free counters, and the same product costs about the same anywhere in the world. Here are a few recently confirmed cases, briefly.

  • NMIXX × MAKE UP FOR EVER (LVMH): September 2026, Artist Color Glow Lip Balm campaign
  • CORTIS × Fresh (LVMH): brand ambassadors from April 2026, Kombucha Essence
  • Karina (aespa) × Chanel Beauty: November 2025 Les Beiges cushion pictorial and campaign
  • IU × Estée Lauder: April 2024, the brand's first Korean global brand ambassador

The side where buying in Korea really pays off is K-beauty. That's where the Korea-only special sets, limited gifts and flagship experiences are concentrated.

Where in Seoul should you buy your bias's products?

The easiest answer is Olive Young. Most of the brands in the table are stocked there, and the big Myeongdong and Seongsu stores that foreign visitors flock to have English guidance and instant tax refunds. If you want a preview of what’s selling before you join the line, skim our Olive Young online bestsellers roundup first. On the other hand, brand flagships are far stronger for big displays featuring idol visuals, brand-exclusive gifts and custom-made experiences. Below are only the spots confirmed to be operating by 2025–2026 reports.

🫧
LANEIGE Seoul (Myeongdong)
Jin's brand. A global flagship that opened on June 5, 2026. Mix your own Lip Sleeping Mask scent, and get a custom Neo Cushion made by a robot.
🔬
medicube Seongsu
Jang Wonyoung's AGE-R. Opened December 2025. Try the full device lineup; reports say half of its buyers are foreigners.
❤️
TIRTIR Seongsu · Myeongdong
V's brand. The Seongsu store (May 2025) was followed by Myeongdong (June 2025). Great for testing cushion shades.
🎀
rom&nd Pink Office (Seongsu)
Wonhee's brand. Opened May 2025. Swatch around 350 products; Wonhee herself visited to make a custom gloss here.

A few more stores to round out your route. In Myeongdong, pair the mixsoon Flagship Store Myeongdong (Myeongdong 8-gil, tax refund available), where ENHYPEN attended a new product launch event in person, with Olive Young Myeongdong Town, a large store geared toward foreign shoppers. In Seongsu, add Olive Young N Seongsu, where idol pop-ups are frequent, and you have a half-day course. For Sulwhasoo, whose ambassador is YoonA, the most atmospheric place to buy is its hanok flagship, Sulwhasoo Bukchon.

How do you get into fan signings and photocard giveaways?

The short version: “There’s no standing event. Time it with a launch.” Most of these run in limited quantities when a brand releases a new product featuring its idol ambassador, or when a big store like Olive Young N Seongsu hosts a pop-up. Looking at 2025–2026 cases, the pattern is fairly consistent.

Promotion trends from recent cases

  • Launch photocards: In July 2025, APR announced a photocard giveaway timed with the launch of Jang Wonyoung's new AGE-R product.
  • Pop-up + fan signing entries: At the ALPHA DRIVE ONE pop-up at Olive Young N Seongsu in January 2026, buying an album came with an entry for a fan signing, plus a random unreleased photocard.
  • Flagship launch events: In November 2025, mixsoon held a new product launch event with ENHYPEN at its Myeongdong flagship.
  • Regular discounts are a separate thing: Even at brands with idol ambassadors, the usual perks are discounts and free gifts; photocards are limited by period and quantity.

Here’s how to play it. Two to three weeks before your trip, follow your bias’s brand on Instagram and the Olive Young app notices, and check whether a new product launch overlaps with your travel dates. Photocards often come with conditions, like “first come, first served with a minimum purchase,” and those conditions vary by event. If it’s an album-linked event, pair it with our Seoul K-pop album and merch shopping guide to save yourself a trip. One more thing: the industry has long joked that “you buy the poster and they throw in the cosmetics” (Dailian, 2018), which shows how long fan buying has powered this market. Still, the product ends up on your skin, so test it in store and don’t buy a shade or texture that doesn’t suit you just for the freebie.
